Who is Shanta?
Shanta M. Samuels, M.Ed | Social Worker, Inspired Philanthropist, Entrepreneur, Business Leader, Educator, Motivational Speaker, & Life Coach.

Shanta Samuels has dedicated her career to the empowerment and elevation of Teens Queens and women. Whether helping women look and feel their best, teaching them how to effectively advocate for their child or providing guidance as women navigate the complexities of business, insurance and finance, Shanta excels at putting her well-rounded areas of expertise to work for others.

As founder and CEO of Shanta’s Vintage Boutique, Shanta stands on 25 years of managerial and sales experience in the fashion industry. Her reputation and influence stretches across the northeast region as a retailer with discriminating taste, an informed consultant and as a certified skin-tone color analyst. Shanta’s business model includes a portable version of her boutique, which allows her to meet women where they are, and a component that allows her to use her bricks and mortar location to help new entrepreneurs gain exposure by hosting showcase events.

With more than 15 years of experience in the insurance industry, including certification as a claims adjuster and leadership coach and holding the position of executive director for the MetLife Professional Women’s Organization, Shanta is well-versed in commercial liability, homeowners, reinsurance and property casualty insurance. As a wife, mother of two and entrepreneur, Shanta personally understands the importance of having one’s insurance and business matters intact and takes pride in teaching other women how to protect and grow their assets using simple, easy-to-understand language.

Another area of expertise that Shanta readily shares is geared towards mothers raising children with special needs. Formerly an educator who worked one-on-one with special needs students; a co-president of the Hartford Youth Scholars Board of Directors, Co-founder of Conversations of Healing Mind, Body, Soul, Co-founder of Conversations with our Teen Queens, and a long-time school-based volunteer.
